Hello! I'm Tony Aylsworth and I serve as Assistant Principal at Ankeny High School. On behalf of the entire staff, welcome to Ankeny High School. My goal is to provide leadership in developing and maintaining educational programs and services at AHS.

I am originally from the very small northeast Iowa town of Wadena. I graduated from Valley (Elgin) High School in 1999. I completed my Bachelors degree at The University of Northern Iowa in Spanish and Secondary Education. I completed my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at Iowa State University and am currently pursing my Doctorate as ISU as well.

Prior to coming to AHS, I served as associate principal at Oskaloosa High School and as a Spanish Teacher and football and track coach at Waukee High School.

This is such an exciting time to be a part of the Ankeny Community School District! Construction is complete as we move in to the new AHS at Prairie Trail. We also continue to plan for the future and our transition into a two-secondary school district. As we move forward we welcome and encourage your participation in our efforts.
